Jose Rizal's Arrest and Trials

His Arrest and Trials in his experience.

I shared this video from YouTube and here is the link of Jose Rizal's arrest and trials.

Now let's see his trials and errors!!

“Why Did He became our National Hero in the and why is he still important whereas he is a troublemaker?.”

December 6, 1896

José Rizal's trial started on the first day. Rizal got accused o sedition, rebellion, and illegal association against the Spanish colonial administration in the Philippines or in spanish, "por rebelion, sedicion, y asociacion ilicita". Then a firing squad would be used to carry out his sentence which led him to his death because of his error.

Jose Rizal was arrested and deported to Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte, for publishing seditious writings, including the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, on his second visit to the Philippines in 1892, when he founded La Liga Filipina. Rizal was in jail for four years and thirteen days and that is a struggle for him to live by.

Rizal would provide Pio Valenzuela excellent advise for the Katipunan during his exile. Rizal was scheduled to become a physician in Cuba on behalf of Spain when his exile ended, due to some friends, demonstrating his "patriotic conduct."

In August 1896, however, the Philippine Revolution would erupt. While his ship to Spain left the Philippines on September 3, he was shortly imprisoned in Spain and returned to the Philippines. On November 3rd, he arrived.

Twelve days later, he was interrogated. Rizal was made aware of the charges against him, but he was denied the ability to question the witnesses against him. All documents and surveillance on Rizal were given to the court on December 2nd, according to records.

In a military court, Jose Rizal appeared. Because his defense counsel is confined to a military officer, Rizal chooses Luis Taviel de Andrade, a personal acquaintance, from a list of 106 choices.

Scholars point out that, while the trial followed legal processes to appear genuine, it was extremely rushed, likely because the Philippine Revolution was already underway. His execution fuelled the revolt even more.
